If you are looking for French wine and good food, consider the region Pays de la Loire in central France. You can find a market, and I hope it will enjoy this fact-filled wine education tour in which he reviews a white Chenin Blanc Anjou-Touraine, Saumur, in the central part of the region.
Between France's eleven wine-growing regions of the Loire Valley is the third area devoted to vineyards. The Loire is the longest river in France races of 620 miles (thousand kilometers) across the Midwest. In many respects, the Loire Valley may be considered as a series of regions. These are, from west to east: Nantais whose number one is white grape Muscadet, Anjou, Saumur whose primary grapes are white Chenin Blanc and the red Cabernet Franc, Touraine whose primary white grape is Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc and red grape, whose principal is Cabernet Franc, and white grape vineyards, whose main focus is Sauvignon Blanc and red grape, whose main Black Pinot. Let's review at least one wine from each of these four areas.
Saumur is a town of about thirty-five thousand inhabitants, where the rivers Loire and Thouet are in the area of Anjou and Saumur Loire Valley, east of Nantes in the west of Tours. It's a bourgeois town, proud of its historic center and fourteenth centuries of the Church St-Pierre and the Plaza del same name. And of course there is a castle in the Loire, with turrets, the? C. In Saumur worth the visit, even if the Decorative Arts Museum (Museum of Decorative Arts) and the Museum of the Horse (Riding Museum) can be closed to the public.
Riding School at Saumur, Saumur Black Frame (Black Frame, literally) was founded More than a hundred fifty years earlier. Their instructors, military or civilian, with a beautiful black and gold uniform in public events that attract a maximum of forty thousand spectators. If you are interested at all in horse shows, be sure to take your class act. And spending by the Maison du Vin (House wine) for more information on this great wine producing region.
Before examining the Loire wines and imported cheeses that we've had the opportunity to purchase a shop local wines and Italian food store, here are some suggestions of what to eat with indigenous wines to travel this beautiful region. Start by Rillions (chunks of pork cooked in pork fat). For your second course savor Becasse fouree Foie Gras (foie gras stuffed Woodcock). And for dessert, complete with Tarte Tatin (to upside down apple pie).

Wine Reviewed Domaine Saint-Just, Saumur Blanc 2005 AC 12.5% alcohol about $ 13
Let's start with a quote from marketing material. We see very little white Saumur in our market, so it's a rare pleasure. Made from 100% Chenin Blanc, displaying the virtues of the grape, along with an aromatic sparkling acidity. The result is a wine that can be enjoyed in his youth with seafood dishes like grilled shrimp, but also want to age gracefully for 3-5 years.
My first meal includes chicken cutlets, fried chicken breast with rice and Turkish salad. This wine was very refreshing and pleasantly acidic. He was cleaning the palate with lots of lime. It was very active in the face of a strong Turkey salad.
The next meal consisted of baked chicken thighs with a mixture of spices, brown rice and green beans. Saumur Blanc, was very soon with plenty of fruit and acidity. It was nice.
The last couple involved wheat spaghetti and hamburgers, but no sauce tomato. The wine is pleasantly sour, with lots of lime. It was very long. Although wine was a bit overwhelmed by Candy, fruit juice, which is the acidity and delicate fruit if combined with a good cheesecake.
The cheese was cheese pairing with a mild Italian Pecorino Friulano. This was unsuccessful, he became the wine a little thin and I lost a lot of fruit. Then I tested a nutty Edam cheese Dutch. The wine was slightly fruity and this combination was good but not great.
The verdict end. I liked this wine, and certainly would buy it again. I think it was good enough for the price. And I do not find much to say about it.
